How Black Women Can Find the Perfect Foundation

Jackie Aina shares some more fabulous makeup tips for women of color. Find the right foundation can be a struggle, so listen to Jackie explain what to look out for and how to achieve a perfect application.

Jackie suggests Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream ($100) as a moisturizer. Before she got put on her makeup, she used Make Up For Ever Mattifying Primer ($36) in her t-zone because she has combination skin and Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer ($52) everywhere else.
Jackie's secret to flawless foundation is color correcting. She cover dark marks with MAC Prep + Prime Highlighter in Peach ($26), but she also recommends LA Girl Pro Conceal in Orange ($5).
She recommends a creme or stick foundation for decent coverage with a skin-like finish and liquid foundation more more coverage.

For lighter coverage she recommends BB cream, CC cream, tinted moisturizer or a cushion foundation. Those with oily skin should opt for a pressed powder.

Jackie's tips for color-matching foundation.
You'll know a shade is too light if it turns ashy when you swatch it. It it's too dark, it turns orange or red.

She used Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless ($5.69) which she applies with her fingers.
