Taraji P. Henson gives some insight into her lengthy career in an interview and incredible photo shoot for the November issue of ESSENCE. The 45-year-old star of Empire has been at it for more than two decades.
She talked about the misconceptions about acting in the age of social media. “These kids are thinking they can do reality TV and come and do this craft that I studied, sweated and grinded," she told the magazine. "People forget it’s a craft because it’s so pop now…Can they make me believe the words coming out of their mouth?“
